Miguel Pereira was born in South Africa to parents who had emigrated from Madeira.
In July 2014 he embarked on a journey of self-discovery and exploration in search of his heritage:
“I wanted to see, feel and touch my family history. It was on this visit that I fell in love with the Island of Madeira, and was inspired to create Celebrate 4 Seasons in Madeira by Miguel.
In over 25 years of creating memorable occasions through my successful events company, Funxion Fusion, I had received many compliments from very happy clients. Now it feels as though I have come full circle. My grandparents and parents left Madeira for South Africa, and now I am returning to Madeira to honour my heritage with my God-given talents”.

The inspiration behind the name Celebrate 4 Seasons in Madeira comes from what must be the most perfect climate in the world. In Madeira, it only rains occasionally, and it is never too hot nor too cold. The year-round pleasant, sunny ambience makes it easy to stage almost any event, no matter the season. Even at the height of summer, the heat is never overbearing, while the winter is cooler, but temperatures are still more than comfortable enough to enjoy an outdoor celebration.
